I’m Japanese, a mother of a little girl. I love playing the piano, and run 100 km per month. I was born and raised in Japan, and in 2019 I moved to the UK and lived there for about three years. Since 2023 I am based in Japan.
I had been working in the fashion industry as a seller, product designer and a merchandizer in my 20's, however I decided to switch to a new field in order to begin a new career in the UK. Since then I've been learning computer programming and web designing whilst working as a freelance translator.
What I DO
WEB CREATION
I have the skills to create websites from scratch using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Since I started to use Webflow, a no-code website builder, I use it to make a website. Using my experience of working as a B-to-B prodult designer/salesperson in the fashion industry, I can create you a website which expresses the taste of the company/brand, whilst having the target to enhance customer experience and improve sales.
TRANSLATION
I have experience of living in the UK and working as a freelance translator from English to Japanese, and vice versa. Even whilst living in Japan, I still use English as my main language every day. I can translate various fields of content, such as business, IT, fashion, music, novel, etc.

BACKGROUND
I have a background working in the fashion industry whilst in my 20’s. I started as an online sales administrator, and then experienced BtoB sales, product design & planner, and merchandising. I opened my own online store to establish a brand of products that were made by disabled people, and run it for three years. Since I married to a Welsh man I moved to the UK when I was 30 and lived there for about three years whilst learning computer programming from scratch - I needed to switch my career as there was no fashion corporation in the area. In the UK I started working as a kitchen assistant in Harvester and then worked as a trainee web developer in a company that provides a web service, and I worked in a e-commerce department in a company that design and sell diorama products to all over the world. Since I came back to Japan I joined a hat brand company and was responsible for contacting BtoB client overseas and the e-commerce website. In my spare time I was also working as a freelance translator.

Product Translation
In a UK company that sells miniture-related products on multiple websites such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy, I was in charge of translation for the product information.
Video Transcribe / Translationte
Localize an American online course into Japanese audience. Checking computer-generated transcript and translate them into Japanese.

As a representative of overseas sales, I was responsible for translating content and making a trouble-free relationship.

Accessory Design & Wholesale
After I graduated senior high school, I started to work for this company. It was an online fashion accessary wholesaler/retailer. I was in charge of online stores, customer service and product management. I built a new B-to-C online store using HTML, which I learned by myself.
Womens' Apparel Design & Wholesale
I was in charge of approx. 30 fashion retail companies as a seller. Most of them were e-commerce businesses. Attended exhibitions in Tokyo everyyear.
Womens' Fashion Oneline Store
I created my own shop as I wanted to establish a brand which sells products made by disabled people.
Hat Design & Worldwide Wholesale
I was responsible for acting as a contact person for overseas customers/agencies, including translation between them and in-house staff, arranging product export and preparation of documents for customs. I also created two new online stores using Shopify.
Work Experience in the UK
UK's Chain Restaurant
Whilst learning computer programming, I started to work as a kitchen assistant in Harvester to get used to the English working environment. I was mainly in charge of making a salad dish for each customer. This experience helped to increase my confidence in my English communication skills.
Web Service Company in the UK
I got a part-time trainee web developer role in this company. I was involved in optimizing website's SEO, such as Open Graph Protocol and Scheme Org. However, due to the Covid pandemic, I had to leave the company.
Diorama Products Wholesale
In the e-commerce department, I was responsible for the optimization of adverts on Amazon/eBay, customer service, and translating product listings from English to Japanese. The team consisted of people from various countries, and I enjoyed the working environment.
